I'm here to tell your story...the joy, the laughs, the tears, and the memories along the way.
There aren’t words to adequately describe how much I loved Tyson and Dolcie’s wedding! It was the perfect mix of celebration & love set in the spring time. These two were simply amazing and their families made us feel so welcomed all day.
Blush pink, greys and pops of rose gold are what spring wedding dreams are made of! This genuine, thoughtful and lighthearted couple thought of every detail and dressed for the best. Dolcie wore a cathedral veil, light champagne coloured gown with lace accents. She made her own lovely bouquet which complimented all the wedding details. Tyson wore a ‘Steele’ grey custom shirt, tweed vest and bow tie with camel accented shoes & watch.
If you have followed me for a while, you know that engagement sessions are a MUST at Starr Mercer Photography. That’s my time to get to know my couples and get them comfortable in front of my camera, but when you’re over 500kms away… sometimes an engagement session just isn’t in-the-cards. I knew going into Tyson and Dolcie’s wedding day that I would not only be meeting them for the first time the day before their wedding, but I would also be teaching them how to be comfortable in front of the camera during their big day!
Thankfully after about 5 minutes of photographing this terrific couple, I realized they were naturals. Tyson & Dolcie decided on a First Look among the spring backdrop that had us all tearing up when they first saw each other! We went straight into portraits and family formals from there and then headed off to the festivities.
Their evening ceremony and reception was so beautiful. Guests were greeted by the scent of cedar chips, wood touches and charcuterie boards at each table. You could tell this couple wanted everyone at their wedding to relax and enjoy because the whole event was filled with rustic woodsy warmth.
During the reception we listened to the most heartwarming toasts. And maid-of-honor Ashley, along with the bridesmaids, had a performance that left the crowd roaring with applause! Guests had a chance to fill up at the Trail Mix bar in between dancing & visiting and the evening was filled with much love.
It was such an honour to be in the presence of such a wonderful celebration Tyson & Dolcie, and an even greater honour to capture your memories!
Aren’t these two the cutest!!!
