Rustic Prairie Summer Wedding

Scott & Brenna’s open air wedding ceremony was breathtaking!  Their special day took place on a Friday at the Groom’s family acreage overlooking the gorgeous valley near Williston, the city where the couple originally met.  Brenna, a Canadian girl, had been studying to become a nurse and Scott worked in the oilfield.  They started dating and their travels took them as far as West Virginia where they realized they were destined for a long life of love and commitment.

It was a bright and sunny summer day in North Dakota.  The couple prepared at Scott’s family homes.  Brenna surrounded herself with friends linked back to her childhood days in Carlyle.  Our day began capturing the Bridesmaids and Bride getting ready, they all looked adorable in their matching robes.

The Bride walked down the aisle to her meet her Groom to the song ‘1000 Years’.  They said their vows under the blue skies in an intimate rustic ceremony.  The Bridesmaids looked amazing in their navy dresses and the Groomsmen complimented the girls well in their charcoal pants, white button up shirts with navy suspenders and ties.  They proceeded to send off balloons from each of their Mothers in a unity ceremony.

There were so many great moments on this first day as husband and wife for Scott & Brenna.  When Brenna gave special gifts to her Mom, her Dad, Mother of the Groom and Grandmother of the Groom, during Brenna’s sisters Maid of Honour speech, the Bride & Groom’s thank you…tears of joy were everywhere.  One of my favourite moments of the day was their open air dance with the views of the valley in the backdrop

Seeing these two, I quickly remembered back to their engagement session and how Brenna has the best grin when Scott makes her laugh…and he was sure to do the same on this day!  Here’s to your simple promise to remain at each others’ sides forever…all the best for years to come!
