I'm here to tell your story...the joy, the laughs, the tears, and the memories along the way.
I know every Mom says it, but it’s hard to believe Scarlett has turned TEN years old!!! In our house there’s an a rule that each child gets 10 birthday parties, so with this being Scarlett’s last big party with friends, we decided to go out with a BANG!!
We invited her friends for the celebrations with these hand-made invitations I designed and printed using photoshop and stamped with these Stampin’ Up sets: Kimono Kids & Elements of Style.
Scarlett set up the table recalling her favourite way to dine out for Asian cuisine, sitting with pillows on the floor.
My collection of panda bears from when I was a child came in very handy to add to the theme of the party.
My Mom gathered up the collection and brought it over along with a beautiful Oriental fan that used to adorn the walls of her house.
We served Asian cuisine from all three of the local restaurants we currently have in town: CK Cafe, D’Barrios and newest sushi restaurant Rainbow Cafe.
Almost all of the girls tried the sushi, but only two liked it.
For birthday cake, I prepared these panda cupcakes and used candy eyes and mini Oreo cookies for the ears.
Make a WISH!!!
In addition to the cupcakes, the girls enjoyed the candy sushi Scarlett & I made earlier using this tutorial. Needless to say, the girls LOVED this version of sushi!! We had a hard time tracking down the swedish fish candies in our small town, but my Aunt Michelle came thru for us and dropped some off just in time for the party.
I had a blast hosting this party for some amazing girls!
And no party is complete without some goofing around…hoping they can look back on this one and laugh in a few years.
