Rustic Fall Engagement Session in Bow Valley Park
I’ve known Hugh and Mandy for a few years, they were the charismatic MCs at James & Christie‘s wedding.
When Mandy reached out to tell me Hugh had popped the question at 5am one February morning, I was giddy and excited they wanted me to be the one who photographed their big day. It’s always amazing how my camera can reconnect me with such special people. It gives me a backstage pass on the best days ever and I am nothing short of thankful for the people who quietly have followed my journey just waiting for their own big day to come!
Hugh and Mandy were introduced by Kim (also an SMP Bride). These two girlfriends went to university together and Kim told Mandy she had the perfect guy for her. Mandy attended her first Dickens Festival in December 2012 and met Hugh. Their love story began that night, even though Hugh was sporting a ‘horrible’ moustache, and they went on their first date shortly after at Kenosee Lake Golf Course.
I loved spending some time with these two who travelled from Carlyle to see our beautiful valley and gave me a chance to capture them with my camera. Next summer can’t come soon enough!
