Mens Fall Fashion Sleek Balmain Inspired 50 Shades of Grey Styled Shoot

Last February I went to see the popular and newly-released Fifty Shades of Grey movie in theatres.  The main character played by actor Jamie Dornan looked so familiar to me.   I realized that I knew this actors look-alike and he was living in our small town of Oxbow!  So I jokingly approached our male model Riley Singelton and revealed I’d be up for the challenge of photographing him to look like this actor if he was up for it.  Riley was up for the challenge, the only stipulation I had for him was to grow his facial hair.  So when Movember November rolled around we started to put together this Mens Fall Fashion Sleek Balmain Inspired 50 Shades shoot.

Landon Lucev had been wanting to style a mens fashion shoot and this idea along with that worked perfectly.  Landon styled four signature sleek Balmain inspired looks for Riley to model. The black Zara turtleneck paired with black suspenders and jeans was by far our favourite look .  Landon made sure to feature the Fifty Shades look that we wanted to mimic from the movie using a tailored suit jacket and pants and simple white collared shirt…this look was crisp and professional.  He also put together a 90s inspired look featuring a black hat, leather vest over white collared shirt, jeans and patent black shoes.  The fourth look was a casual velvet tee by Zara dressed up by a black blazer and made casual with jeans.  All of these looks came together to give several diverse & unique looks for the shoot.

We put together a fabulous team for this shoot.  Landon Lucev did an amazing job of fashion styling and assisting on set, Amber Christensen of Salon Diosa did three specific looks for hair styling and Janell Ranae Rempel opened up the local library for us to use as the location for the shoot.  This was Riley’s first modelling experience and he did such an amazing job of portraying this character.  The whole team was very supportive of this project Landon & I had been envisioning, we feel so blessed to have such great support from them all.
