I'm here to tell your story...the joy, the laughs, the tears, and the memories along the way.
Who would have thought when Koltyn and Kendra met in sixth grade, that one day they’d be planning their wedding one day! It’s a unique small town story that this Redvers boy and Storthoaks girl will likely tell their family about one day. Being together seemed meant to be, for on 12/12/12, this hardworking shy farmer asked a friendly outspoken girl out on a date.
Three years later, Koltyn and Kendra were preparing for an evening of anniversary dinner and celebrations. They were at their home, Kendra went to get her coat out of the closet and when she turned around, Koltyn was on one knee. And here we are capturing these two shortly after that eventful night when they were engaged!
We met at an old abandoned stone country school near their farm, the perfect location for their winter engagement session. These two cuddled together and kept each other warm for this lighthearted session. We chatted about details of their wedding day coming up this October, I gasped when Kendra told me her wedding colors…marsala + navy blue! And photographing Kendra’s one-of-a-kind rose gold diamond ring was an extra treat for me…you know how much I love the bling bling.
All details aside, these two had such an amazing session. Koltyn taught me farmers don’t really like cat tails (they mean slues of water), Kendra works at our family’s favourite dental office and I found out these two like to sip hot cocoa and hang on the couch. Most of all, if is wasn’t already evident, I found out these two love being together and both mentioned that’s mostly what they are looking forward to with marriage.
I know their wedding day at Kenosee Lake is going to be extraordinary…might even be comparable to a scene out of The Notebook (one of Kendra’s favourite movies)! I’m looking forward to capturing the love and care Koltyn and Kendra have for one another as they add to their unique small town love story!
