Dreamy Winter Engagement Session

As soon as I sat down with Derek and April at their meet & greet, I was excited at the prospect of becoming their wedding photographer.  They are so down to earth and I loved getting to know this sweet couple over a glass of wine in my home.  Their story began with April’s sister and brother-in-law playing match maker.  They had tried to introduce them a year earlier, but now looking back they must have been destined to meet, don’t you just love stories like that.

How romantic to see ‘Marry Me April’ spelled out in Christmas lights on the roof of your new home, what a proposal story.  Derek surprised her with this message one November day.  He called her outside when it was dark, stars were shining and there was a thick layer of snow on the ground…the perfect night to say YES!

Their snowy Saskatchewan winter engagement session was perfect!  These two are genuinely happy, in love and they kept each other warm with rosy cheeks as we explored some spots near their home in the beautiful Bow Valley.  Let’s just say, I can’t wait for their wedding in October, it’s going to be wonderful!!
