I travelled to Brandon Manitoba to meet and photograph Clinton and Ashley’s winter engagement session. The couple choose the most beautiful location with a beautiful rustic barn out in the country.
We started the session using the outside of the barn and got some fun shots of the couple with their dog. When the wind got to be too cold, we went to explore the interior of the barn and discovered a tremendous floor to ceiling view of the old building. The natural light peeking in from the clouded day was perfect for some rustic romantic shots of Clinton & Ashley and we chatted about making this gorgeous spot a location for their wedding day as well.
Ashley brought an afghan her Grandmother made; it complimented the vintage location so well and we used it as a prop for the couple to cuddle in…I just love using props couples bring me to incorporate into their session, making it uniquely their own.
We finished off the session at a location just up the road. These two are definitely in love and I love the way they look at each other and all the snuggling that was going on.
I am happy these two came across the Facebook page and decided to book their wedding photography with Starr Mercer Photography…I’m looking forward to capturing their new beginning together this summer.
