I'm here to tell your story...the joy, the laughs, the tears, and the memories along the way.
Let me start this post by introducing one of my favourite families I’ve had the pleasure of capturing multiple times of the year, the Oleshko family from Estevan.  I started photographing Mallory & Chris before they had their first daughter Adeline.  Amelia arrived a few years later.  I absolutely love taking pictures of these sweet girls and watching them grow.
Mallory is an amazing Mom and makes sure to capture their daughters in a unique way each year. Â Her & I collaborate and come up with a theme based on the girls ages at the time. Â We have had many themed shoots, such as Lemonade Stand, Vintage Tea Party, Bedroom in the Woods & At the Greenhouse….but this shoot’s theme is one of our best, based on the award winning book by Maurice Sendak ‘Where the Wild Things Are‘. Â Mallory wanted to show how much of a ‘wild child’ Amelia is and so with a little help from my good friend Christy, who had a stash of themed props as well as a Max costume, we were all set for this session.
We placed the set among the beautiful birch trees of Kenosee Lake.  Amelia’s parents brought their tee pee from Land of Nod and this woodsy dreamland was created for this three year old girl to play in.  The photos speak for themselves being adventurous and magical…I’m so proud of this session!  But the feeling I feel most when looking at these photos is blessed…to have clients like the Oleshko’s who trust me to capture their family time after time again and let me exercise my creative muscles at the same time, is the best feeling for a photographer if you ask me.  Thank you for being so amazing and I can’t wait for our next session!
Amelia and big sister Adeline enjoy a story in the wild…
Into the woods we go…where the wild things are
We took some time during the session to take some family portraits also…what a terrific bunch!
Happy 3rd Birthday Amelia
