Romantic & Rustic Summer Wedding

We always feel extra blessed to photograph local weddings and I have Susan Hill Photography to thank for sending Derek & Kelsey my way.  There’s no doubt in my mind these two were meant to do life together.  On the first weekend on August they said ‘I Do’ in an outdoor ceremony in the small town they live officiated by Bev Ireland.  It was the most magical and perfect day…from the heartfelt notes each of Kelsey’s bridesmaids wrote to her, the pop of violet and green throughout their details, their family sand pouring at the ceremony, to the way they held each other for their first dance as husband & wife…the day was amazing!

I absolutely loved that these two planned some special time for just the two of them to have portraits at the Barber family farm.  There we took photos with the old tractor that means so much to the family as well as some quiet intimate moments with just Derek & Kelsey.  Some of my favorite images from their day stem from these quick 15 minutes of shooting!

The radiating smiles on their faces all day were a sign that becoming official husband and wife, was meant to be.  I’m so happy for you both, I wish you and your family all the best.
