I'm here to tell your story...the joy, the laughs, the tears, and the memories along the way.
Michael & Danielle’s romantic backyard micro wedding (due to their original plans being changed by the coronavirus pandemic) was the most perfect celebration of their love. This intimate summer wedding in Regina was sweet, keep your eyes peeled for the couple’s adorable daughter Emma, and celebrated their love in the purest way.
We arrived at the parents of the Bride’s home and started photographing the stunning Canadian made Kathryn Bass gown from Sweet Pea & Noelle in the backyard. Then it was time to capture details, including Dani’s gorgeous ring I feel in love with at their engagement session. The girls snacked on pink popcorn and treats from The Everyday Kitchen as they got ‘wedding ready’. Once the Bride was ready, the Bridesmaids gathered outside and Dani surprised her Father with a Dad’s First Look.
After exchanging love letters separately, the couple had their first look in front of their home, a place that’s very special to them. This was one of my favourite moments of the day, full of joy, followed by portraits on their front porch with their daughter Emma. Before they headed to the ceremony, in a close friend’s backyard, the Bridal Party popped some bubbly to get the celebration going.
We headed to Regina’s beautiful Lakewood Park after the intimate backyard ceremony for portraits, the weather was perfect. As the sun went down, the backyard ceremony site was transformed for the reception. The owners of the home served dinner to each individual guest with a smile, adhering to covid-19 protocols. With the money they saved from hosting a large-scale reception, these two renovated their basement. What a way to turn the disappointment of only able to have 30 guests into having a space to enjoy in their home.
The couple enjoyed their first dances on the deck followed by a special video presentation of messages from guests who couldn’t be there in person, including one Groomsman who was stuck in the Cayman Islands.
This wedding was so romantic and relaxed! It was the perfect culmination of Dani & Mike’s love story and the start of a whole new adventure as husband and wife. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your love story!
