Reston Backyard Summer Wedding

Ryan and Kennedy’s backyard wedding was absolutely wonderful in so many ways.  From their sweet dog Whiskey stealing the show walking down the aisle during their 7pm ceremony time to the adorable backyard set up in Kennedy’s parents backyard, this event was inviting and full of love for this sweet and quiet couple.

The day was so relaxed, exactly what the couple wanted.  They choose to read private vows to one another after their first look in the park.  We were able to take our time with portraits and get all the formalities out of the way before their ceremony which had them at their reception only 10 minutes later.  No speeches or toasts and no formal dances, this couple wanted the day to feel like them instead of the obligations of a traditional wedding.

They did cut the cake and followed it up with a sparklers exit where all their guests lined the aisle and cheered as they walked through.  The smiles on their faces say it all, Kennedy and Ryan, thank you for asking me to capture your first day as Husband and Wife. xoxo
