I'm here to tell your story...the joy, the laughs, the tears, and the memories along the way.
Life moves VERY fast for me! With three energetic kids, a home, husband and multi-businesses to take care of…I’m sure you can agree and understand. Sometimes if you’re not physically around me, getting updates on day-to-day things, I seem a bit out of touch. But in reality, there’s so much going on, that while I’m excited about one thing, another equally exciting thing comes along and I have a hard time finding the time to relay all the wonderfulness. This is an aspect of my life I constantly strive to be better in!
For 4, almost 5 years now I’ve been the photographer for Obviously Chic Boutique and www.obviouslychic.com. For a business that could write the a book on starting-up using solely social media, photography was a very important factor. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever believe I’d be doing fashion photography. I am so proud of the work I’ve done with OBV and it presents the constant challenges in photography I crave.
I love working with the online store owner Jessica Cote…we almost feed off of each other’s enthusiasm, creativity and entrepreneurial abilities. We dream up such fun shoots in rural Saskatchewan…from hanging models off of the back of trains, climbing in old spooky barns, hauling furniture and jewelry into beautiful canola or flax fields…the excitement is like a drug.
I’ll never forget meeting the store’s owner. I just had our third baby and was in shopping at the Estevan store. Jess always had a knack of picking items for customers that you’d adore and so I had gotten to know her. On this day we chatted and she asked what we named our baby…’Coco’ I told her…and Jess had the most surprised look. She said, ‘my parents named me Coco when I was born, but then changed it to Jess’…she had always liked the name and kept it as an alias or nickname. We then at that moment hit it off and began to chat photography…and the rest is history as they say.
I have missed sharing as much of my work I’ve done for Obviously Chic as I would have liked. So in true fashion of living in the now, I give you the most recent editorial session we photographed at the CARNIVAL with two adorable models, Chelsea & Janine…enjoy!
