Hello and welcome to the SMP blog! I'm Starr, a wedding, portrait & lifestyle photographer based in a small Saskatchewan town from where I have been serving clients in Western Canada since 2009. I hope you'll grab a coffee (pumpkin spiced latte if you're me) and enjoy viewing my latest work and getting a little peek into my-far-from-mediocre life!
Slow and steady, it’s been their mantra. Slow and steady, wins the race. Well, on New Years Eve the race was won when Ryan married Jenna and all was right in the world. Over a decade together, these two knew they had to plan one hell of a party to celebrate their love and the start of their marriage!
The day was themed around celebration, after all, everyone was ringing in a new decade with this wonderful couple. The Turvey Centre never looked better, draped in fabric to transform this New Years celebration. Fortune cookie favours greeted each guest and there were plenty of New Years hats, headbands & noisemakers to go around. And their 4-tiered cake, made by a family member, was definitely an amazing addition to the sparkly theme.
Their whole day was fabulous, filled with originality, fun, laughs and tears, followed up with an epic dance party to ring in the new decade. Just before midnight, guests grabbed from the champagne tower and met on the dance floor. When the clock struck midnight, the Bride & Groom gave the crowd an epic kiss. It was so special to celebrate surrounded by Ryan & Jenna’s incredible family and friends, an incredible New Years Eve for the books!
