Hello and welcome to the SMP blog! I'm Starr, a wedding, portrait & lifestyle photographer based in a small Saskatchewan town from where I have been serving clients in Western Canada since 2009. I hope you'll grab a coffee (pumpkin spiced latte if you're me) and enjoy viewing my latest work and getting a little peek into my-far-from-mediocre life!
Jordan and Victoria had a wedding that was full of life, full of celebration, full of love. I’m pretty sure at one point I said, ‘they are so in love, I wish the world could see this.’ It’s the kind of love that inspires you, that reminds you that soul mates exist and that challenges you to roll with whatever life hands you as a team…like they did with their wedding and the restrictions due to the pandemic.
As they said ‘I do’ at the Woodlawn Golf Course with 30 of their closet friends and family (we felt so privileged to be included in the 30), the Kreuters’ left us a new thing to keep up with: a love that is authentic, romantic and is unwavering amongst covid-19 times. Tori’s favourite moment from the wedding day was walking down the aisle and locking eyes with Jordan smiling back at her. Jordan will never forget watching Tori walk down the aisle looking amazing like an angel in a white dress.
After the ceremony, came the portraits followed by a reception back at their home for a family style dinner, visits in their backyard and first dance. Their wedding wasn’t as big as they originally planned, but they found they were able to relax and enjoy the simplicity of the day.
This beautiful couple really made the best of the changes they were faced with when planning their wedding. They had scheduled their larger reception to happen on New Years which ended up not happening because of continued restrictions. Their biggest advice to couples planning a wedding during these uncertain times: ‘no pandemic should keep you from marrying the love of your life’.
