Allan and Ashley’s wedding day was one for the books.  It’s one that I will always remember, but not for the reasons that you would think.  I won’t remember it for how beautiful it was, even though it was incredibly gorgeous…Ashley has an impeccable eye for all the little details and everything was completely stunning but that’s not the reason why it was unforgettable. It wasn’t even the fact that there was a September blizzard. Nope, this wedding was one that will be remembered forever and will always be a favourite in my book because of the people who were there. It was the way Allan and Ashley’s friends rallied together to make, what could have been a potentially ruined wedding day, into something SO beautiful.  The day started off with giant fluffy snowflakes falling.  We were able to drive South of town where the weather wasn’t as bad to the golf course (a tip the makeup artist Missy Woods called and let us in on while she was driving home) the snow let up at that location to allow for all the portraits, even though it was freezing, everyone kept great spirits through it all, especially the Bride.

At the reception we heard from the couple’s closest family and friends.  The heartfelt speech that stands out for me from that night is from the Groom’s Mother who spoke about the Groom’s Father who had passed away and how proud he would have been of his son on this day.  Events like this without a loved one are hard, so many emotions.  It reminds us the memories are so important.

I just cannot tell you how thankful I am to have been a part of this incredible day!  Allan & Ashley, you are two very special people and your wedding day will always be one of my favourites!!
