I'm here to tell your story...the joy, the laughs, the tears, and the memories along the way.
It was very fitting that Jean-Philippe and Danielle had a bilingual wedding since their relationship sparked on being French Canadian. Â When Danielle was becoming a French-immersion school teacher, her schooling required her to take a semester in Quebec City. Â The Bride remembers going to a University pub one night and JP asking if she’d like to have a drink in a very strong French accent. Â He was cute, so how could she say no and the two began dating. Â JP ended up moving to Saskatchewan and after being together for several years set up a scavenger hunt with clues around their house one day. Â The last clue happened to be a fortune they received from a restaurant they saved, Danielle didn’t understand the clue until JP got down on one knee!
Their beautiful story that spanned the country brought us to their wedding day and what a celebration it was! Â From the French & English signs to the grandeur of the church, the smells of eucalyptus at their reception to the carefully curated playlist guests enjoyed, all the details were perfect, and I’ll let the photographs speak for themselves.
Our day started at Hotel Saskatchewan where we were hand-delivered Starbucks from the Bride’s tribe, what a special treat. Â Sophisticated and simplistic style was carried throughout all the details in the ivory and greenery theme with accents of navy and dove grey, so lovely. Â The wedding was held at Holy Rosary Cathedral Church with a formal ceremony and mass. Â Guests enjoyed an extravagant meal at the reception followed by fun toasts where we learned of the Bride and her sister playing Blockbuster as children and the Groom’s liking for skateboarding and surfing as well as all the interesting travels the couple has had thus far.
It was an honor to be witness to JP & Danielle’s wedding day. Â This couple is so in-love, it shows and I was thrilled to capture their special day. Â Hope you had a wonderful time in the Rocky Mountains for your honeymoon…xoxo!
The couple loves cats and so they had something special at the reception to support a feline cause.
Jean-Philippe’s Father was there to help his son get ready for this special day, what a great moment!
We joined the ladies over at Hotel Saskatchewan where they were doing final preparations for the wedding.
Mother of the Bride helped Danielle with all her finishing touches before the ceremony.
Danielle treated her Bridesmaids to Hillberg & Berk gifts!
We love that the couple had a reversible wedding invitation with French on one side and English on the other.
Translation of the Ring Bearer’s sign: ‘JP, too late to run away…here she comes!’Â
The couple treated guests to complimentary ice cream after the ceremony across the street at Dessart Sweets.
Love this special donations request by the couple to the Regina Cat Rescue.
Cheers to this wonderful couple!
