Fall Carnduff Engagement | Matt + Joey

photo of couple on a tree swing

When Matt & Joey contacted me to book their wedding photography, they weren’t engaged yet but knew they’d like to make sure I didn’t book their date in August of 2015 with anyone but them.  Joey knew Matt was going to propose, but didn’t know when.  Well a few months later, I was up one night scrolling thru social media and caught a glimpse of Joey’s ring….Matt proposed and I couldn’t be happier for them.

They knew they wanted a fall engagement session…my favourite time of year for these sessions.  The session was held at the couples acreage near Carnduff, Saskatchewan.  When I arrived, we took a tour and they showed me the most unique tree, which just happened to be the tree where Matt proposed to Joey, and she said YES!

We walked throughout the trees, snapping photos of these two who are the most kindhearted couple.  The session was at sunset, so we took advantage of the sweetest light of the day.  The session went well at that location, so well that we chatted about visiting the spot on their wedding day as well.

After the session the couple invited me in for tea and a visit….I’ll never forget that banana cream pie tea Joey steeped for me (YUM).  We discussed all the details of their wedding and Starr Mercer Photography is so excited to photograph all they have planned for the day they say I DO!
